therapist: range from depression, phobias, learning disabilities.
what’s a psychiatrist?
therapist that can prescribe medication?
what’s a councillor?
work in education settings, prisons, hospitals. (short term)
what are psychological paraprofessionals?
works closely with clinical psychologists and psychiatrists. (nurses or therapists)
what are psychic surgeons?
remove cancer cells/tumours without touching the client. (scam-most people would die because they didn’t get proper treatment)

how behaviours are learned.

what is overt behaviour?
any behaviour that can be observed in the form of the physical response. (walking, talking, eating) 
what is convert behavior?
any behaviour that aren’t detectible by and observer. (thinking, judging, deciding, problem solving)
what is lab/field research?
pro and con of doing research in a lab?
decide whether you collect information in the lab or outside of lab.
more control within the lab, not all information can be collected in the lab.
what is empirical data?
information that is observed. (not numerical)
what is statistical analysis? 
analyze Data collected and see what the statistics say. (%)
