Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is to be used when undertaking dismantling and assembly operations.
What PPE can you choose?
Part of the body: Head
Hazard: Falling objects, working in confined spaces, hair caught in mechanism
PPE: Hard hat, bump cap,
cap or hair net
What PPE can you choose?
Part of the body: Eyes
Hazard: Dust, grit, flying particles
PPE: Goggles, face shields,
safety glasses
What PPE can you choose?
Part of the body: Hearing
Hazard: Excessive noise,
distraction due to noise
PPE: Ear muffs, ear plugs

Part of the body: Lungs
Hazard: Dust, fumes
PPE: Face mask,
respirator

Hazard: Sharp objects, corrosive chemicals, low/high temperatures
PPE: Protective gloves, chem. resistant gloves, insulated gloves

Hazard: Sharp items on floor, items falling on feet and toes, impact on ankles
PPE: Safety shoes, safety boots

aprons
