A device that can compute. Ex.Alexia, Google Home,
What are Internet of Things or (IoT) Devices
Devices that connect to a network, that doesn’t fit in any other category. An example would be a fridge or dishwasher.
What are the three things computers most have in common?

What is Hardware?
Parts of a computer that can be picked up, moved around, opened, and closed. It also allows the use of input, processing, storing, and output.
What is storage?
Storage is saving the data for future use or retrieval.
What is one temporary storage small computers have?
Cache, which is a part of your CPU or processor
What is the second temporary storage small computers have?
Memory or RAM,
How would you have long-term memory on a small computer?
By using hard disk drives, solid-state drives, USB drives, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, etc
What would be considered output devices?
Things such as monitors, displays, speakers, printers, etc.
What does software do?
Provides the instructions for the hardware (Tells it what to do)
What is an Operating System software
Provides a method for saving, retrieving, changing, printing, and transmitting information
What is Application Software
Used to create, store, modify, and view information or data. That you create.
What is a Driver used for
Used to translate commands from the operating system to a piece of hardware
What is firmware
Specialized type of software on a chip and also a combination of both hardware and software. Can also be referred to as software on a chip.
What term is used when talking about how to upgrade firmware?
Flashing and most modern firmware is called flashing.
