What is PC Disasembly?
The means of removing the components inside the chassis, it is also the act of maintaining cleanliness of the component of the computer, both external and internal.
Reasons for Computer Disassembly
- To check if the components are properly placed.
- To help determine a problem.
- To replace a part.
- To take parts and use them in another device
- Take parts and sell them individually.
- To maintain cleanliness of the component.
Before starting computer disassembly, what is it that you need to make sure?
That you have the needed tools with you and to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Procedure.
What is the First Step in Computer Disassembly
Unplug all the cables and wires
What is the second step in computer disassembly
Remove or open the outer shell or chassis
What is the third step in computer disassembly
Removing the System Fan
What is the Fourth Step in computer disassembly
Removing the CPU Fan

Removing the Power Supply Unit

Elaborate Computer Disasembly Step 1
Step 1: Unplug all wires and cables
This includes; Power cord, VGA Cable, Ethernet Cable, Mouse, Keyboard, etc.
Just unplug all the cables for safety purposes. Now that your computer is fully unplugged move your PC to a clean workplace.
Elaborate Step 2 Computer Disassembly
Step 2: Remove or open the outer shell/case
First, unscrew the four screws at the back of the computer. On most computer case, there will be large knobs/screws that can he unscrewed using your hand or by a screwdriver on the back-right side of the computer, unlock the cover by sliding the knob, then slide the cover to finally open the case.
Elaborate Step 3 in Computer Disassembly
Step 3: Remove System Fan
You need to unplug the fan from the motherboard. You can find the fan, it is labeled as “SYS_FAN1” fan from the outside.
You will be able to now lift the fan out of the PC.
