The king was predicted that the son of his wife, Danae would kill him so he improsoned her and her son, Perseus.

Polydeuces, the ruler of the area wants to. Sorry Danae and get rid of Perseus so he tells him to kill medusa.
The gray sisters helps him find her and he kills her
On the way back he sees andromeda tied to a rock because her mother offended the gods and he saves,her as his wife
