What is the authors perspective on wearing the veil

A

As a child, she jokes about wearing the veil and playing around with it highlighting that she doesn’t yet understand the meaning and consequences of it. The fact that they don’t want to wear it quicky establishes it is a repressive symbol. Although some people do support the veil author feels veil hides her identity.
