Q

What is the difference between cross-cut valves and tuohy-borst valves?

A

Most facilities order cross-cut, as it is easier to use and requires less steps. It can leak due to contact with the hub flaps.
Tuohy-borsts are commonly used in the carotids because they leak less and provide more exact flow control. But they require more attention and time/steps.
