A

A

In what order should we test ROM?
A
-Active – assess what the patient is willing to do
Make sure you observe their movement patterns!!
-Passive – assess what the patient can actually do
-Resistive – grading scale combine w/ subjective pain complaints

Why do we utilize special tests?
A
- Evaluate structures that have not been assessed with the other components of the exam
- Ligament integrity
- Neurovascular structures
- Boney pathology / injuries
