What is included in a job description and person specification

A

Job description
A job description lists things about the tasks involved in the job and their status, this includes : Day to day duties, Educational requirements, Previous experience, Who they are responsible to, Who they are responsible for, Job title & department, pay and other benefits

Person specification
A person specification lists the qualities of person needed and their skills, this includes: Required personality, Desired personality, Specific skills, Leadership/ emotional skills and in some cases Physical appearance
