Manual worker
A a worker that does a physical job which doesn’t need any qualifications or skills, they are also known as unskilled workers, and example is a factory packer.
Blue collar worker
blue collar workers also do physical work but which it takes some specific skills and qualifications to do it, the job is often quite repetitive,also known as semi skilled workers, an example is a bricklayer
white collar worker
they do non-physical work which need many skills and qualification, they are also know as skilled workers, an example is an office or bank worker.
professional worker
there work require a lot of skills and qualification,there job needs decision making and takes responsibility. an example of this is a lawyer or doctor.

what are the advantages of external recruitment
- With new workers coming into the business they will bring fresh ideas and skills to the company
- There will be a larger pool of candidates to choose from
- It will vacant creating other openings in the business
- it avoids animosity between employees when one gets promoted and otters don’t
what are the advantages of internal recruitment
- The vacancy will be filled quickly
- The employee already knows the business so there is no need for any induction training which can save money and time
- The organisation can save money as they don’t need to do any external advertisement
- Other employees with be motivated as they have the knowledge that there is chance for promotions
what are the disadvantages of external recruitment
- candidates don’t know the organisation so there will have to be time and money spent on getting them up to speed
- Such a potentially vast pool of candidates means it can take a long time to discover the best on for the job
- it could demotivate staff as they may perceive it as there is no opportunities for any promotions
what are the disadvantages of internal recruitment
- The applicants are taken from a more limited pool so the quality of the worker may not be best for the job
- promoting a single employee means that a vacancy will be created in there old job
- conflict can be created and relationships strained when a employee resents another for them being promoted rather than them
