What do the uterine arteries arise from?
The anterior branch of the internal iliac (hypogastric artery)
Where do the ovarian arteries arise from?
Abdominal aorta
Where do the uterine veins drain into?
Internal iliac veins
Where do the ovarian veins drain into?
RIGHT –> Inferior vena cava
LEFT –> Left renal vein
What is the arterial supply to the upper vagina?
Cervical branch of the uterine (this is responsible for cuff bleeding)
What is the arterial supply to the mid-vagina?
Inferior vesical
What is the arterial supply to the lower vagina?
Internal pudendal and middle hemorrhoidal
What is the lymphatic supply to the upper 1/3 of the vagina?
Iliac
What is the lymphatic supply to the middle 1/3 of the vagina?
Hypogastrics
What is the lymphatic supply to the lower 1/3 of the vagina?
Inguinal
What plexuses make up the nerve supply to the uterus?
Hypogastric plexus
Sympathetics
Frankenhauser’s plexus
What nerves carry pain response to the cervix and upper vagina?
T11-T12
What nerves carry pain response to the perineum?
S2, S3, S4 (pudendal)

Iliococcygeus
Puborectalis
