Explain the spartisist uprising.

A

Who: liebknecht & Luxemburg
When: December 1918 - january 1919
Where: Berlin
What: They rebelled against the wiemar gov. Clashed with the german army leaving 16 dead. Gov. Used friekorp to put them down.
How: leaders were captured and killed.
Threat: not high threat , was over in days as army fought them off.

Explain the kapp putsch.

A

Who: wolfgang kapp
When: 13 march 1920
Where: Berlin
What: sieze berlin and made a new right wing government. Severity of the treaty of Versailles. Gov. Told people of berlin not to support kapp.
How: Ebert forced to leave berlin for 3days
Called for a general strike
Made up of tge friekorp
People brought kapp down.
Threat: very threatening as they rebelled from the inside.
