A

A student shall be considered truant when absent from class without the consent of a parent or legal guardian or school official. Students who are truant from school will be assigned to ISS or RA.

Is food and drink allowed in the classroom?

A

No open food and/or drink will be allowed in the hallways or other areas away from the cafeteria at any time. Food or drink may be allowed in classroom only with teacher permission.

What happens if you are found with a permanent marker?

A

Students may not possess permanent ink markers on
campus. Students with permanent markers may receive a
lunch detention or other discipline measures.

What happens if you leave your classroom before your appropriate dismissal time?

A

Students caught out of area at dismissal will be assigned a Saturday Detention.

When can you use your cellphone?

A

Students may have cell phones on in cafeteria in the
morning from 7:45 until 8:45am and turned off when
dismissed to class. until 4:15 p.m. each afternoon. Students in after-school activities, including tutorials and detention, may not use a cell phone without permission from the supervising extra-curricular sponsor, coach, or teacher.

PDA-Public Display of Affection (i.e. holding of hands, hugging, kissing) is not appropriate at school.
