What are the differences with pediatrics to adults with head, face, airway, breathing, circulation, abdomen, extremities?
A
Head: proportionally larger and heavier
Face: nasal passages small, short, and narrow
Airway: glottic opening higher and more toward front; tracheas smaller, more flexible, shorter
Breathing: breath faster
Circulation: heart beats faster and harder
Abdomen: muscles less developed
Extremities: bones softer and growth plates are weaker
