palpate anterior fontanel, dilated scalp veins, depressed eyes, change LOC, high pitch cry, irrit
post-op hydrocephalus
measure frontal occipital circumference, temp, supine
rheumatic fever
beta hemolytic strep
Sx CHF
aug pls at rest, aug RR, scalp sweating, fatigue, sudden weight aug
Trx CHF
listen to lungs, control room temp (aug T= more workload), sit up, rest, dim stimuli, humidified cool O2, uninterrupted sleep, calm play, loose clothes and diapers, respond to crying baby quickly, can’t handle fever
Nut CHF
nipple with large opening, every 3h
