Pectoralis Major

A

O: Clavicular head : medial clavicle
Sternocostal head: Sternum and costal cartilidge of ribs 2-6 (sometimes 7)
I: Greater tubercle and lateral lip of intertubercular groove of the humerus
A: Flexion, adduction, medial rotation of the humerus
N: medial and lateral pectoral nerve

Pectoralis Minor

A

O: Ribs 2-5 (sometimes 3-5 or 2-4) near costal cartilages
I: Coracoid process of scapula
A: Abduction & downward rotations of scapula; assists in elevation of ribs when pectoral griddle is fixed
N: Medial pectoral nerve

I: Superior border of ribs 2 to 4
A: Elevation of ribs
