To remember the escape of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt
Lasts 7 days ( found in the Torah and book of exodus)

What do Jews do to get ready for Passover
A
House is removed of any traces of risen bread or food that is made from grains
- commemorates Jews leaving Egypt who didnt have tjem to let their bread rise

What is the Seder meal
A
Being with a reading of Passover
Followed by Hymns and blessings
Salt water- represents tears shed by slaves
Lamb bone- represents the lamb that was sacraficed so the blood could be painted above Jewish doors
