What was the main aim of the treaty of Versailles?
To make sure another World war does not happen

What were the aims of Clemenceau?
1) Germany must return Alsace Lorraine to France
2) Germany should pay reparations to furnace to cover the damages
3) France should be allowed to take posssession of the Rhineland
What were the aims of Wilson?
1) Self determination
2) He was n prepared to allow Italy to take the adria coast
3) A League of Nations should be set up to solve future disputes
What were the aims of Lloyd George ?
1) Gain Germanys colonies
2) don’t treat Germany too harshly
3) Germany should be allowed to recover

German guilt- had to take blame for WW1
Armed forces- no submarines, no air force , only 100,00 soldiers
Reparations- £6600 million
German land- Alsace Lorraine and Sarr given to France. Rhineland Demilitarised. 8 new countries e.g. Austria, Lithuania
League on nations- international peace
