MET definition and what it stands for
Metabolic Equivalent
One MET is defined as the amount of oxygen consumed while sitting at rest
low (light) intensity and METS and example activity
lowest category or activity in terms of perceived and actual exertion and energy expenditure

slow walking, golf, gardening, household chores
moderate intensity and METS and example activity
generally consists of sustained rhythmic movements. At this level you should feel the same exertion, but sill be able to carry out a conversation comfortably
