What is the service zone?
The area behind each end line that measures 9m wide.
What is the back zone?
The area between the front zone and end line that measures 6m.
What is the center line?
The line that divides the court, measuring 9m x 9m each.
What is the attack line?
Also known as the ‘front zone,’ it measures 3m from the center line to the next line of the court.

What does ‘Dig’ mean in volleyball?
To prevent the ball from touching the court’s ground.
What is a ‘Set’ in volleyball?
A move that leads to a pass or sets up for an attack, requiring good ball control to make a spike successful.
What is a ‘Forearm pass’?
Receiving the ball in front of the body, where the ball touches the inside part of the joined forearms at the waistline. It is also called ‘bump/bumping’.

Also known as the ‘Attack’, it involves striking the ball overhead just above the net to land on the opponent’s court. Only front row players are allowed to execute an attack in the front-row area.

A defensive effort performed by two or three team members to stop a ball coming from a spike or an attack.
