A skill which requires a lot of decisions to be made

An open skill is something that’s is affected a lot by the changing environment which the sport is played eg for football tackle = where other players are , where the ball is , how hard
Define closed skill ?
A skill which has very little external factors and is performed the same pretty much every time
Define self paced skill ?
A skill which the speed and when it’s done is controlled by the performer
What is externally paced skill ?
A skill which is controlled by external factors determining how quick the action much take place

What is a gross skill ?
A skill which involves large muscle groups
What is a fine skill ?
A skill which uses smaller muscle groups and normally requires more accuracy

Setting targets which help you to achieve you goal

These are based on improving your own personal performance

The are based on performing better than someone else eg winning

An explanation in words normally used for more experienced athletes

When you watch the skill happen from a coach or from diagrams

Guidance using sporting equipment eg harness

Deep breathing , imagery , mental rehearsal , visualisation , positive self talking
