FITT meaning
frequency, intensity, time, type
This refers to the number of times you need to do it in a week To adequately gain benefits, you will need to do it five times a week, 30 min per session (indoor or outdoor).
frequency (how often?)
This refers to how hard you will exercise.
intensity (how hard?)
This refers to the length of each exercise. Take note that the harder or more intense you exercise, there is a bigger effect on how long you should exercise.
time(how long?)
This refers to the kind of exercise you will do to achieve a specific benefit.
type (which exercise?)
These are activities that require a considerable expenditure of energy. It involves using a lot of energy and makes a person move around a lot making him/her active. The body needs to keep moving to be healthy and fit.
active recreation
These are activities that involve little exertion but is generally sustained. They are more of a leisure or relaxation activity, when one is calm and is not required to move much.
passive recreation
