Diaphram
The diaphram is placed to cover the cervix and held together by your pelvic muscles creating a barrier between the sperm and egg as so the egg is not fertilized
The pill
The pill is an oral contraceptive taken to reduce or stop ovulation interfering with hormones. It can cause vomiting, mood changes, nausea, bloating, headaches
The vaginal ring
the vaginal ring releases oestrogen and progesterone stopping pregnancy. This can lead to headaches, tender breasts, mood swings and irregular bleeding
the contraceptive implant
Makes the cervical mucas thicker so that sperm is harder to get through as well as thins the uterus lining so pregnancy cannot grow
Emergency pill
It stops by delaying the ovary from releasing an egg or from sperm meeting egg and can be taken up to 5 days after sex but more effective within 75 hours. Can cause headaches, nausea and vomiting
Sterilization
for male- vasectomy which ties or cuts males vas deference so sperm doesn’t enter uterus
for female- permanent procedure that cuts ties or seals shut your fallopian tubes
