Q

Costs to the individual and community?

A

The impact of these conditions on the individual’s physical health can vary from minor pain and discomfort to permanent disability or death. Dealing with minor physical health problems can be overcome in a short time with appropriate treatment and medication. More serious physical effects can remain for a long time, however, and, in some cases, are permanent. Examples of permanent physical effects are spinal cord injuries
