What is PCR used for?
A
-Routine diagnostic tool used for identification, confirmation and quantification of specific DNA sequence

Examples of PCR application
A
- Presence or absence of diseases such as TB
- Allow Differentiating between closely related organisms for example “swine flu vs human influenza” both H1N1 subtypes
- PCR may also allow us to determine how much is there for example measuring bacterial or viral load
