-either clinically (hirsuitism) or biochem (raised testosterone or FAI)

total testosterone/ SHBG
Common in PCOS to find elevated free testosterone levels and low SHBG

Metformin for ovulation induction
A
4-5/10 will ovulate
Mono-follicular ovulation
(Avoid risk of multiples and OHSS)
Dose 1500 to 2500mg daily

Ovarian drilling
A
Enter ovarian surface with diathermy needle with intent of reaching the ovarian stroma
Repeated (drill holes into ovary)
Stimulates ovulation in 80% of clomiphene-resistant
Mono-follicular ovulation, no cycle monitoring
