What do the four section so prevent aim to do?
Prevent- Reduce risk
Pursue- Reduce threat
Protect- Reduce vulnerability- people and infrastructure
Prepare- Mitigate the impact of an attack
What are the three I in prevent?
Ideology- challenge these ideologies
Individuals- prevent individuals from being drawn in
Institutions- working with institutions where there are risks of radicalisation
What is channel?
Channel is a national scheme which is used to protect vulnerable people
What does JTAC stand for? What are the levels?

What is terrorism?
Use or threat of action to influence the government or intimidate the public for the purpose of advancing a political, religious, racial, or ideological cause.
What is a terrorist?
Any person involved in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism
What is S57, S58 and S58A of TACT 200?
57- possessing an article in use for CPI
58- collecting useful information likely to be useful to a terrorist
58A- eliciting, publishing or communicating information regarding the police or military personnel to a terrorist

What can you view on an individual’s phone?
Photos
Do people know they’re on Chanel? Do we find out if someone is on channel?
Yes, it’s voluntary.
It’s all kept on a private network, the police generally do not have access
What is the definition of S5 Public order act 1986
Us threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour or displays writing, signs or visual representation within hearing or sight of any person and is likely to cause HAD
What is the definition of section 4A?
Section 5 but they have the intention to cause that person HAD thereby causing that or another person HAD
Does section 5 have to be aimed at a specific person?
No but it must be in the presence of another

The conduct was abusive, but they do not need to intend

What is the definition of section 4 of the public order act?
Distributes or displays writing etc
With the intent to cause that person to believe immediate and unlawful violence will be used against him by any person, or to provoke the immediate use of unlawful violence by that person or another, or whereby that person is likely to believe that such violence will be used or it is likely that such violence will be provoked
What sections of the public order act do we have a power of entry?

What’s the definition of S2 POA?
Takes place when 3 plus persons who are present together use, or threaten unlawful violence and the conduct between them is such as would cause a person of a reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for their personal safety
What is included in S2 and where can it take place?
Can just be words alone

What is important for violent disorders?
The three plus people must have a common purpose
What is S1 of the POA?
