Explain what happended after the nazca subducted?
The nazca plate subducted to about 200km and the pressure built up and at that point caused the crust to melt and form magma. it then was forced to the surface through a weak point (the volcano) and exploded through the top as ash and lava.
What did the lahar do?
The lahar was formed by the meltrd snow, ash and sulfur . It came down the volcano and was travelling 50km per hour. This is what destroyed the town.
