the Opening Balances Date is the date from when the monthly reporting to Inland Revenue will begin from Xero.

Why would you edit a holiday group in xero?
examples: if the business was regional you can allocate only Auckland employees Auckland anniversary off and if you gave employees with 5+ years working for you their birthdays off you can account for this in another group.
