What is a pattern according to Ch Alexander?
Describes a problem which occurs over and over again and then describes the core of the solution to that problem which you can used a million times over without doing it the same way twice
What is a pattern for SBMD?
A repeatable solution to an enduring environmental, social and economic challenges that arise when organisation aims to create, deliver and capture value in a sustainably oriented manner (p. 42)

What pattern types are there?
There are 3 pattern types: overarching, prototypical and modular
What are overarching patterns?
They describe how you can integrate major design principles into any aspect of business or organisational design.
What are prototypical patterns?
They are about how companies create, deliver and capture value. They serve to design or redesign the whole business model.
What are modular patterns?
They show how you can innovate a module of your business model eg. resources, processes, products, communication channels, revenue resources etc.
What is the Pattern Triangle? (add photo of the triangle)
It shows patterns on a triangle indicating with which value creation they are aligned the most - ecological, social or economic.
