What does the occupied portion of a bowl pattern chart symbolize?
people who are self-sufficient and can operate independently; self-contained
What is the bowl pattern?
all planets fall within one hemisphere and within 180 degrees on one side of an opposition; no more than 60 degrees or 2 houses empty; full hemisphere is occupied
What does the empty area of a bowl pattern chart mean?
a focal point; place where they strive to achieve
What does a stellium do?
Puts a lot of emphasis on that part of the chart
What is the bundle or wedge pattern?
all planets are contained within a tight 120 degrees
What does a bundle or wedge pattern mean?
personality becomes exceptionally resourceful and focused; intense; concentrated
What is the fan pattern?
a bundle but with one rogue planet off on its own (the handle)
What is the meaning of the fan pattern in a chart?
the personality relies on that “handle” for support (the one rogue planet)
What is the bucket or funnel pattern?
similar to a fan but one lone planet forms that handle
What does it mean to have a bucket or funnel shaped chart?
these people channel their energy through that handle; their mission; what they must achieve
What is the seesaw pattern in a chart?
Looks like a bow-tie; planets divided into 2 distinct groups at least 60 degrees apart
What does it mean if you have a seesaw shaped chart?
balance & relationships are essential; they seek the middle way
What is the locomotive pattern?
all of the planets fall within 240 degrees while three houses remain empty
What does it mean if a chart has a locomotive shape?
these people are driven, ambitious and determined; all about reaching their destination
What is the splash pattern?
planets have scattered all around the chart; usually no more than 2 planets in any one house with a few empty houses here and there
