The base housing area has a history of thefts and periodic vandalism of houses, vehicles, and playground equipment. Domestic disturbances occasionally occur and can be some of the most dangerous situations. This sector requires periodic foot patrols in common areas to prevent these crimes. Barracks thefts, vandalism, and thefts from vehicles in dormitory parking lots are common. Speeding in dormitory parking lots and along Delaware Avenue (a high volume street on the installation) is a concern and historical problem.
