How often are post inspections conducted? What are you inspecting?

A

Post inspections are conducted twice per shift. Watch Commander/ Patrol Supervisors shall inspect each gate/post during each watch to ensure all personnel are in proper uniform and performing their duties properly. Watch Commanders/Patrol Supervisors shall frequently check every zone/post and gate during the watch to ensure NSF are familiar with instructions, special orders, etc.

RAMS are random antiterrorism measures, the RAM folder can be found in the watch commander binder for each designated shift. During Guard mount, depending on the location, will be put out by the Watch Commander or Patrol Supervisor.

Personnel can fish from dawn until dusk.

Martial law

A

-Absolute: The military controls all aspects of civilian law. Only the president has the power to enact absolute martial law. This will only be used in extreme cases where civilian/local government has failed and the military is used to replace order.

-Qualified: The military is used to augment/aid in civilian law enforcement. This will be used in times of crisis and natural disaster to aid in the recovery of the area. Local government still functions and is in full control.

Conducting a Narcotics Identification Kit (NIK)

A

-If product is easily identifiable, use designated NIK kit for testing purposes
If not, use the provided Identidrug chart to determine which testing kit to begin with.
-After choosing test, proceed with gloves by opening the kit and inspecting to make sure it has not been used.
-If acceptable, take a small sample with the scoop provided and place inside pouch, tap to get substance distributed evenly through the bottom of the pouch
-Close the pouch and seal with plastic slider that is included with the kit.
-Individually break the interior glass tubes( in the middle) and agitate back and forth quickly to reveal the designated color for a positive result
-if positive, test is complete, dispose in sharps container, if result is negative refer back to the provided Identidrug instructions.

-Request activation of ASF recall od additional NSF
-Brief reaction force on the situation, area of deployment, and safe avenues of approach
-Ensure perimeter is set around affected ACP/ICP
-Ensure photos of suspect(s) or vehicle is taken and provided to the EOC(Airplane mode)
-If suspect apprehended or incapacitated, ensure the crime scene stays secure and maintains integrity until investigators or NCIS arrives
-Maintain 360 degree awareness
