It is the nonverbal communication expressed through physical behaviors, gestures, posture. facial expressions, and eye movements.
Many officers become injured because they fail to see the factors of body language in suspects!!

Changes from defensive to aggression are usually sudden. Go from Defensive to Neutral by using de-escalation. In this state a person is resistant.
