What is in each phase of a DUI
•Vehicle in motion - Swerving, abruptly stopping, without headlights, straddling lines or curbs, weaving.
•Initial contact - Smell, glossy eyes, slurred speech, slow reactions, visible bottles, if they hand the wrong card
•Pre-apprehention screening - Failed the SFSTs, blows a .08 or higher for the PBT and intox
What’s the difference between domestic violence and disturbance
•Domestic violence is physical violence (bruising, marks, wounds)
•Domestic disturbance is verbal
Who will be notified for Domestic violence
BDOC.

What is a fresh pursuit
A Fresh Pursuit defined is a pursuit by an LE officer for the purpose of preventing the escape or effecting the arrest of any person who is suspected of committing or having committed, a serious crime.
When’s the only time you can go over the speed limit?
During a life-threatening event or if directed by flight chief
When do you stop a Fresh Pursuit
If endangering yourself, your partner, or the general public
Primary concern in a Fresh pursuit
Protection of lives and the safety of all citizens and responding personnel.
Who can authorize a Fresh Pursuit
Flight chief
What’s the policy for transporting
2 SecFo members must be in the vehicle. If the tranportee is of opposite gender than the driver, then the other member must be the same gender as transportee
What do you do before transport
Clear the backseat of contraband or any of your stuff. Purge it
Who do you notify of what when transporting
Notify BDOC of your vehicle, location, starting mileage, starting time, and destination upon completion. When patrol is finished, the transport, notify BDOC of the termination time, location, and mileage.
Searching is in accordance with what?
SFTRG 4, use of force
Who searches?
Same gender defender on scene. If there is none and no immediate danger, transport individual to a same gender defender for search.
What do you need to write a ticket
Name, rank, squadron, social, VIN, DL Info.
What do you say when you issue the ticket.
•Let them know that they have 24hrs or next duty day to notify 1st shirt or commander of the ticket.
•If they wish a rebuttal against the ticket, they must report to bldg 35 with their supervisor in 5 duty days.
Things you call out for a Code 5
Location, model, color, license plate, reason for stop.
