What are the 6 phases of a domestic?
Notification phase, response phase, entry phase, initial contact phase, investigatory phase, apprehension phase.
What is the notification phase?
BDOC will get as much information as possible such as privately owned weapons, medical attention?, altercation still in process?, relationship and if there are in kids in the house.
What is the response phase?
Minimum of 2 patrolman will respond, note any vehicle departing the immediate area just in case they fled. Prior to knocking listen for 10-30 seconds. If they don’t let you in tell them you are leaving until you are allowed in but never open the door or shout an invitation
What is entry phase?
If subject is not in view ask for their whereabouts, also ask about weapons and if anybody needs medical. All household members should be identified and kept as witnesses.
What is the initial contact phase?
Separating them visually, as well as physically. Avoid putting them in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Look for any apparent weapons, if found 52 it.
What is the investigatory phase?
Question witnesses, taking written statements. Check for fresh bruises or cuts. If serious OSI or S2 will come out and we will 1109 for everybody walking in and out. A 2701 will be issued.
What is apprehension phase?
In instances involving violence and they will be escorted back to 35, 1805 will be issued to civilian, family advocacy will be contacted along with mental health if there are having issues.
What are the 5 bruises colors and hours?
Red- immediate to few hours Blue- 6-12 hours Black/purple- 12-24 Green tint- 4-6 days Yellow- 5-10 days

What are the signs of sexual abuse?
Does the child have difficulty waking or standing, are their clothes stained/torn, is the child pregnant? If sexual abuse is suspected have BDOC contact OSI immediately
What is a fresh pursuit?
pursuit by an officer for the purpose of preventing the escape or effecting the arrest of any person who is suspected of committing, or having committed, a serious crime.
Who authorizes fresh pursuit?
Flight chief
When does fresh pursuit apply?
Attempting to stop a person who is believed have committed a serious crime, has classified material, in possession of inherently dangerous to the public, committed an act towards PL resources
How do you handle witnesses?
Same sex must be present at all times.
How do you handle while transporting?
Same sex of the individual being transported, call in code 8 or code 8A, if there is no cage a sf member has to sit in the back with the individual
Handling people while searching
Will not conduct search on the opposite sex, unless there is a threat.
How do we handle minors?
Under the age of 18, parents need to be present for us to talk to the minor if the parents don’t respond in 60minutes we have to get ahold of their sponsors first sgt.
What are SF authorities?
Correct, apprehend, report, detain

Exclusive and proprietary
What is exclusive jurisdiction?
Ucmj, USC and NM state code
What are proprietary jurisdictions on holloman?
Proprietary jurisdiction allows the federal government to have the same rights as any property owner.

What is a major accident?
Involves personal injury/death, damage to POV or GOV worth 10,000 or more.
What are the procedures for major vehicle accidents?
1315 turn into S5 within 72 hours, 1168, contact alert photo, 1408 if applicable and you will apprehend if they are under the influence also complete a 1920
Minor vehicle accident procedures
Flight chief determines if response is necessary, drivers will exchange insurances and if they want to make a statement they will go to 35. All paperwork will go to S5 within 72 hours, citation will be issued if you can determine what individual is at fault.
What is sector 1?
Main base, south of runway 25 and east of runway 34.
What happens in sector 1?
Thefts, vandalism, domestics, and speeding.
