What is Tiotropium Bromide also known as, what is it typically used for and what is its method of action?
- Spiriva / Braltus
- COPD, and moderate to severe asthma
- Anticholinergic, promotes bronchodilation by inhibiting cholinergic bronchomotor tone and blocking muscarinic actions of acetylcholine

- Eliquis
- Non-valvular AF with high risk of stroke, and prevention and treatment of Venous Thromboembolism
- Inhibits factor Xa, blocking thrombin production, conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin, and thrombus development
What is Frusemide also known as, what is it typically used for and what is its method of action?
- Lasix / Urex
- Oedema associated with heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, renal impairment and nephrotic syndrome

What is Digoxin also known as, what is it typically used for and what is its method of action?
- Lanoxin / Sigmaxin
- AF, atrial flutter, heart failure
- Slows heart rate and reduced AV node conduction by increase in vagal tone and a reduction in sympathetic activity. Increases myocardial contraction force.
