Info needs to be correctly coded for understanding (no technical languages, speak slowly, ask them questions)

- Introduce yourself & triple ID,
- Show patient equipment & explain procedure,
- Ensure patient is comfortable & reassure,
- Give instructions slowly & clearly & observe pt. throughout scan,
- Optimise protocol (doses = ALARA & use AEC etc.)
What are some risks with CT? (7)
Falls, Table movement, blind gantry angulation, infection control claustrophobia, allergic reaction to IV contrast, radiation risks.
