Causes of too much in so excess enters the liver and it cant be processed?

A

Haemolytic anaemia which is abnormal breakdown of RBC’s = build up of bilirubin which causes jaundice
Splenomegaly (as this is where RBC’s are broken down)

What is Cirrhosis

A

End stage liver disease caused by Hep or chronic liver disease. All due to inflammation

Consequences of cirrhosis

A

Failure due to not enough liver tissue to break down
Portal hypertension due to high blood vessels, become abnormal and nodular
ascites: due to less albumin
