Ménière’s disease
A disorder of the inner ear that can affect hearing and balance.
Otosclerosis
The stapes becomes fixed and unable to transmit sound to the inner ear
Impacted cerumen
Excessive accumulation of ear wax in the external auditory canal
Cataract
Clouding of the lens of the eye causing impairment of vision or blindness
Corneal abrasion.
An injury to the eye
Diabetic retinopathy
A consequence of diabetes where the retinal capillaries become scarred causing loss of vision
Glaucoma
An increase of fluid pressure within the eye
Hyphemia
A bleed into the anterior chamber of the eye caused by blunt force trauma or post op complications
Keratitis
Inflammation of the cornea
Photophobia
Abnormal sensitivity to light
Strabismus
Failure of the eyes to gaze in the same direction due to weakness of the edge muscles
Stye
Pus filled infection of glands near the eye lid
