What is a Seder plate.
A Seder plate is used at Passover. On it is a boiled egg a lamb bone bitter herbs charoset and parsley. Each of these symbolise different things.
What does the boiled egg symbolise?
The boiled egg shows the strength h of Jewish people as the longer you boil it for the harder it becomes.
What does the lamb Bone symbolise?
The bone symbolises the lamb that they sacrificed in the dessert as an offering to god.
What do the bitter herbs stand for?
This shows the bitter life of the Hebrew slaves in Egypt.
What does the charoset stand for?
The sweet mix paste signifies there sweet escape from Egypt.
What does the parsley stand for.
The parsley signifies the hard work of the Hebrews in slavery as parsley grows in the ground and is hard to pull out of the ground.
