A

A
the part where the problem or conflict is introduced

Rising Action
A
A series of relevant incidents that create suspense, interest, and tension in a narrative. It includes all decisions, characters’ flaws and background circumstances.

- presents complications that intensify the conflict
- builds suspense

Climax
A
The part of the story where the tension or action reaches its peak.
- sometimes a “crisis” point in the story
- protagonist comes face-to-face with the conflict
- at the end of the climax, The reader knows if the main character has achieved his/her goal

A
- eases the suspense
- shows how the main character resolves the conflict
