Originator of a thought or an idea (People)
Message
Verbal and nonverbal elements of communication transmitted from one source to another
Channel
The way the message is transmitted from source to source.
Code
A systematic arrangement of symbols used to create meaning in the mind of another person or persons.
Encoding
Translating an idea or a thought or concept into a code (message).
Decoding
Making sense of the code (message).
Noise/Interference
Anything that distracts people from listening to what they wish to listen to (impact the encoding and decoding process).
Feedback
Verbal and nonverbal responses to a message.
Context
The physical and psychological environment in which communication occurs.
