A homonym is a word that is said or spelled the same way as another word but has a different meaning. “Write” and “right” is a good example of a pair of homonyms.

What is an apostrophe of contraction?
An apostrophe is used to show that letters have been left out of words that have been combined to make a shorter contraction.

An apostrophe is normally used with the letter s to show ownership or possession .
Explain subject and predicate?
A complete sentence contains two parts: a subject and a predicate. The subject is what (or whom) the sentence is about, while the predicate tells something about the subject.

Homographs are words which are spelled the same, but with more than one meaning.
What is a verb?
A verb is a doing or action word.
What is an adjective?
An adjective is a word or words used to describe nouns or pronouns. They add interest or meaning to sentences giving more information.
What are the types of adjectives?
Descriptive,proper adjectives, adjectives of quantity/number,adjectives of order/position,adjectives of comparison and (adjectival phrases).
What is a descriptive adjective?
Describes the nouns. These are the most commonly used.

When a proper noun is used as an adjective. The SOUTH AFRICAN beaches are sandy.

A word that describes how the verb was done,when it was done and where it was done?
