Common Nouns
Common nouns are never capitalized. They name something general, not specific
Proper Nouns
Proper nouns are always capitalized. They name something specific-like the name of a place, a brand, or a person
Abstract Noun
An Abstract noun is something you can’t see, hear, smell, taste, or touch(5 senses)
Concrete Noun
A Concrete noun describes things than can be seen or touched
Action verbs
Action verbs tell what the subject is doing
Linking Verbs
Linking verbs[to be] connect (or link) a subject to a noun or an adjective
Helping verbs
Helping verbs help the main verb express tense and voice.
