Preposition
Tells the time or the position of something= on, above, around, during
Common nouns
Not capitalized and not specific= ball, desk, store
Proper nouns
Capitalized and specific= Ms. Dulaney, Walmart, Nike
Abstract Nouns
A noun you can’t see, touch, taste, hear, smell= love, hunger, fear
Concrete nouns
A noun that you can touch, and see= Food, dog, desk
Compound nouns
Made up of more than one word= Grocery store, teacher desk, shopping cart
