Common Nouns
Common nouns are never capitalized. They name something in general, not specific.
Proper Nouns
Proper nouns are always capitalized. They name something specific like the name of a place, brand, or person.
Abstract Nouns
A noun you cannot see like smell, taste, touch, fear and even love.
Concrete Nouns
Concrete nouns describe things that can be seen or touched.
Action Verb
Tell what the subject is doing
Linking Verb (to be)
Connect (or link) a subject to a noun or an adjective.
Helping Verb
Help the main verb express tense and voice.
