Common Nouns
Common nouns are never capitalized. They name something general, not specific.
Proper Nouns
Proper Nouns are always capitalized. They name something specific.
Abstract Nouns
A noun that you cannot see, hear, taste, or touch.
Concrete Nouns
Concrete Nouns describe things that can be seen or touched.
Action Verbs
Tell what the subject is doing
Linking Verbs ( to be )
Connect (or link) a subject to a noun or and adjective.
Helping Verbs
Help the main verb express tense and voice.
