Horse shoe shaped; supports the entire microscope .
Base
Triangular; connects base to arm.
Pillar
Screw, found both sides of pillar;allows to incline/tilt the microscope at an angle.
Inclination joint
Handle of microscope. To hold/handle.provides stability to the microscope.
Arm
Build with a hole, allow light to pass through the placement of slide that contains specimen.
Stage
Adjust glass slide.
Mechanical knob
Regulates/controls amount of light.
Iris diaphragm (Lever)
Allows adjustment of mirror towards the source of light.
Mirror rack/fork
Protects dust from emulating into the lenses.
Dust shield
Thick, hollow cylinder; allows passage way of light.
Body tube
Narrow, above body tube; placement of ocular/eyepiece.
Draw tube
Adjust distance/focus between the slides and objectives.
Coarse Adjustment Knob
For clearer viewing/ clear focusing.
Fine Adjustment Knob
Catch or reflect light.
Mirror
To fasten glass slide in place.
Mechanical stage clip
Crystal; focus/concentrate light towards specimen .
Condenser
