Keep the eyepiece and rotating nosepiece in place.
Body Tube
Holds the objective lenses, also known as the revolving
turret.
Nosepiece
This is used to scan a whole slide.
Scanner
The objective lens covers a wide field of view and is
useful when examining large specimens or many
smaller specimens.
Low Power Objective (LPO)
This helps to hold the slides in place.
Stage Clips
This objective observes fine details of a specimen
sample.
High Power Objective (HPO)
This controls the amount of light that reaches the
specimen and the light intensity and size of beam.
Diaphragm
This is located at the base which is used instead of a
mirror and helps transmit light for viewing.
Light Source
This is also known as the ocular lens. A part of the
microscope which is utilized for viewing specimens.
Eyepiece
This keeps the objective above the platform and
supports the head of a microscope and is used when
carrying it.
Stage
This gets the slide in focus when using lower
magnification.
Course Adjustment
This is used to sharpen the focus when using high
magnification.
Fine adjustment
This keeps the microscope stable as it acts as a support
for the microscope.
